J.H. "Jack" Ryder sells his first industrial truck to the Grand
Trunk Railroad.
1930
J.H. Ryder Machinery Limited opens a small office
behind the Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto.
1938
J.H. Ryder Machinery Limited opens a branch in Montreal,
Quebec, the first of many expansions for the company.
1957
J.H. Ryder Machinery Limited moves to Evans Avenue at Kipling.
This is where the head quarters resided for 43 years.
1960's & 70's
J.H. Ryder Machinery Limited expands into full-service branches
throughout Ontario and Quebec.
Present
J.H. Ryder Machinery Limited operates 15 full-service branches,
using cutting-edge information technology to manage inventory
and the largest service van fleet in the industry. Ryder currently
carries industry-leading brands that have distinguished themselves
for their value, service, reliability and efficiency - brands
like Crown, Nissan, Clark, Doosan, Sellick, Omega and Cushman. Everything
we sell is backed up by the largest mobile service fleet in
the industry, staffed by factory-trained mechanics and equipped
with the latest repair and diagnostic tools. With the new 100,000
square foot facility, Ryder has one of the best material handling
service facilities in North America.

courses and training for lift truck operators and mechanics.
